RANDY BACON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
In 1992, Randy and Pat Bacon purchased the Kings Center building at 202 E. Third Street.  Initially, Randy envisioned using the building as rental property and began renovations.  As time progressed, he decided the property could better be used as a Christian neighborhood center.  He first approached First United Methodist Church and St. John AME with his vision, then additional churches and individuals became involved.  With the help and support of many, the Kings Center opened its doors in 1996.  Randy Bacon died in May 2007, but his vision for the Center continues.
