Gratitude begins in our hearts and then dovetails into behavior. It almost always makes you willing to be of service, which is where the joy resides. (Anne Lamott)
My heart is full of gratitude for all of you Angels.
I’m so thankful for your willingness to be of service to our children through your prayers, cards, gifts, and financial support. I wish you could see the joy on the faces of our KC kids when they receive a card or a birthday bag. There are always shouts of joy on Fridays when Marian Hayden’s Chefs bring their magic to the kitchen to teach our children how to prepare and serve special meals.
This March, Anna Stewart Whites has invited our kids to participate in a Mexican Folk Dance class. We hope to send at least ten young people. We also have two KSU students who are working with a group of our girls to learn step and cheer dances.
Scott Tippett has suggested that we partner with the Park system and him to teach our children golf. We look forward to this new adventure. There is no shortage of athletic talent among our kids! Several are on the track team at SS while others play football, basketball, and cheerlead. In fact, three of our former boys and two of our former girls have been stand outs on the FHS basketball teams this year!
I’m on my way to Florida tomorrow but will return in time to help with Spring Break field trips. Thanks to all of you who have started sending your cards to the new address. I hope the rest of you have made note of it:
